SALARY: $51,261 - $55,000Job Description:The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applicants for a full-time, Instructional Support Associate (SL-2) position in the Mechanical Energy Technology Department beginning January 5, 2026.
Responsibilities:- Maintain automotive laboratory equipment in working order.
- Order supplies.
- Assist faculty and students during lab periods.
- Consult with suppliers.
- Ensure equipment standards.
- Support other academic needs assigned by the supervisor and the faculty.
- Welding laboratory stocking, organization, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:- Proven record of successful maintenance of automotive or related equipment.
- Organizational skills, ability to receive inventory and parts.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, have good people skills, and a willingness to learn and stay current in the automotive industry.
Preferred Qualifications:- Associate degree in the automotive or related field.
- Three years’ experience with repair work.
- ASE certifications are encouraged but can be earned while working.
- NYS Inspector’s License but could be earned while working.
