The Northern New York Builders Exchange is seeking a motivated, computer literate person who wants to get their foot in the door of the construction industry. The successful candidate will be working with every aspect of the construction process including architects, engineers and construction contractors throughout the business.
Responsibilities:- Learn and Perform plan room duties (update bids and addenda, keep records, run reports, monitor bid and addenda throughput and post to members).
- Assist the Office Manager in receiving, transferring, or making calls with its members.
- Help improve the NNYBE’s social media postings.
- Learn to receive construction drawing requests and addenda.
- Assist NNYBE members with password recovery for the electronic plan room and plan room bulletin.
- Assist the Office Manager in keeping internal supplies stocked.
- Assist returning and new members on the NNYBE application process.
- Maintain updated records of member information.
- Assist in Ambassadorship for the NNYBE. Learn what benefits NNYBE offers.
- Assist in keeping the NNYBE membership directory current.
- Assist members on coping, scanning and downloading engineer copies for construction projects.
- Assist in the preparation, sign up, communication and execution of NNYBE Community events (i.e., Golf Outing and Clam Bake, Business Mixers, Boat Cruise, Craftsmanship Awards, and Annual Meeting).
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred but not necessary.
- Must know how to navigate Microsoft Office and learn our operating systems.
- Communication and presentation skills to communicate throughout the NNYBE Team.
